Redmond Dudes Falls To Everett Merchants 7-5 After Extra Innings Score

PIL Dudes stayed in it until the end, but Everett Merchants pulled away late in a 7-5 victory on Saturday. The game was tied at three with Everett Merchants batting in the top of the tenth when Anderson drew a walk, scoring one run.

PIL Dudes lost despite out-hitting Everett Merchants nine to six.

PIL Dudes opened up scoring in the third inning, when Chase Hacker‘s sac fly scored one run for PIL Dudes.

PIL Dudes knotted the game up at three in the bottom of the seventh inning, when JJ Valenciadoubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Culp toed the rubber for Everett Merchants. He lasted five innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out four and walking zero.

Nick Bettinson led things off on the hill for PIL Dudes. He went three innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out two and walking one. Calvin WoodRobert Weaver Colton Turner, and Peter Irvin each entered the game as relief, throwing two and two-thirds innings, two innings, one and one-third innings, and one inning respectively.

PIL Dudes tallied two home runs on the day. Jake Levin had a homer in the tenth inning. Clayton Truex went deep in the tenth inning.

PIL Dudes racked up nine hits on the day. ValenciaLevin, and Truex all had multiple hits for PIL DudesTruexLevin, and Valencia each collected two hits to lead PIL Dudes.

Altamirando led Everett Merchants with two hits in five at bats.
