4-Hit Day For Perala As Redmond Dudes Skirts Past Baden Black 17-5

Kai Perala would not be denied at the plate on Friday, picking up four hits and leading Redmond Dudes 14U to a 17-5 win over Baden Black 14U. Perala singled in the first, singled in the second, singled in the fourth, and singled in the fifth.

Redmond Dudes 14U got things started in the first inning. Austin Corwin‘s wild pitch allowed one run to score for Redmond Dudes 14U.

Baden Black 14U knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the first inning, when Lucas Engles-Klann singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Redmond Dudes 14U pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second Perala singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, Ryan Moore singled on a 2-2 count, scoring three runs, and Braden DePaola drew a walk, scoring one run.

Redmond Dudes 14U put up six runs in the fifth inning. PeralaTyler EisenhutMoore, and DePaola all drove in runs in the frame.

Colby Simpson toed the rubber for Redmond Dudes 14U. He went four innings, allowing four runs on six hits and striking out one.

Corwin started the game for Baden Black 14U. He went four and two-thirds innings, allowing 12 runs on eight hits and striking out five. William Weber threw one and one-third innings out of the bullpen.

Redmond Dudes 14U scattered 13 hits in the game. PeralaEisenhutMoore, and DePaolaeach managed multiple hits for Redmond Dudes 14UEisenhut and Perala each collected four hits to lead Redmond Dudes 14U.

Weston Webb went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Baden Black 14U in hits.
